If you move the actual save files from the old folder to the new one, the game should recognize them.
Dr. Bones doesn't really seem to care about the money that much, the only thing that you get for giving him money is the game a couple days earlier.
He seems to be making a game that he likes and then takes donations while sharing the game.

almost every indie does that, the act of not needing the money is a transparent bullpee, we know some dev who said "i make something i love, i do not really need your munny coz im rich" and what happened to that game? *cough* yande *cough* simul *cough*... the real reason it is free to play is bcoz people act like a bulldog about paying a work in progress project, also maybe... some copyright stuff and other stuff too
