Characters are likeable and relatable in some ways. Since there's not much choices, a kind of autoscroll could be used to prevent just using the mouse to click over and over and watch it more like a movie and just pause in a choice. Other than that 5*
In times like these, when it feels like everything is going down the drain, it's good to occupy yourself with games like “Cosy Cafe.” “Game” is a bit of an exaggeration; it's basically a great book with pictures and music.
Why do I like it so much? For many reasons:
- In Cosy Cafe, the world is still in order. The hero of the story, an 18-year-old with the mental maturity of a thirty-something, expands his restaurant and builds a harem of lovely girls, all of whom he employs in his restaurant, the Cosy Cafe. On the side, he gets involved in the politics of his hometown and is quite successful as the head of a “founding family.”
- All of the protagonists behave in a realistic manner, and relationships with the numerous girlfriends are carefully built and continuously improved. The way all seven work together to build the storage room and how Catherine and Hannah then force each other to accept increasingly drastic punishments is simply excellently written and developed.
- Later in the game, the more complicated relationships, such as the one with the “personal princess” Catherina, are among the most interesting. It's almost impossible not to be fascinated by her story. At first, she seems like an unsympathetic snob, but behind the façade lie many depths and facets. She is my personal favorite, in any case. And I'm very excited to see what will happen with Rachel. After all, she's one of the main characters and, I guarantee, will later become a member of our harem.
It's a shame that “Fap Nation” neglects this game. Version 0.12 was released months ago. But take a look around and you'll find it elsewhere. Good luck.
