iirc, you CAN just jump into Ch.3, but you're asked some questions that really only make sense if you've played Ch.1 and 2. Questions like "how many Love/Friendship points do you have with Daughter" , "Did you go on a date with this other character" and "Did you win this competition in Ch.2?".
Both Mr.Dots and I recommend you play through them all, both to get a full story as well as getting to know the characters.
But if you just want the sex, you can jump into Ch.3
