Comparing titles to pronouns is wild. Titles are earned. As for names, people can call you whatever they want. You can ask them to call you a specific name, but there is no obligation to actually humour you. You can ask to be called Jennifer, but people will still call you Jenny if they feel like it.
So the study that coined the term gender is textbook unethical, got it.

Thats not how the world works man...if you called Jennifer Jenny after she told u.. you'd just become a social outcast as she would ignore you amd others around her in that social circle would just see you as being a dick... and if it was a work place that is just a whole different dynamic.. this person is either a basement dweller who hasn't seen daylight in a decade or just oblivious on communication skills
