There are a couple places where you get stuck. The bugs need to be fixed before this version is truly playable.

we love renpy because the engine is loaded with quality of life features and encourages good gameplay design.
It is certainly POSSIBLE for a dev to fuck up renpy.
And I have seen devs who modded RPGM into a renpy clone. (but with fewer quality of life features).
but by and large RPGM is designed from the ground up to be trash. While renpy is designed to be good. The exceptions are just that, exceptions.
while RPGM is indeed trash. It is in fact possible to polish a turd. This is one of the rare RPGM games which is actually good, despite its platform.
