Well, it looks like the dude didn't answer you. They must have been lying to you or making shit up to the extend of stopping these developers.
This dev blue ball, everyone, on the last chapter. It piss off a lot of people. This is why people left and stopped paying him. Then the dev knew that he fuck up big time and decided to abandoned the game. If your a dev you need to give what the audience want. Look at some dev out there doing good and finish their games and why they are so successful because they deliver what the audience want.

What does the audience want? They're asking for a new update. They're gonna get it. Pretty certain, Xenorav is working on the update this moment. He too focused on it, and can't provide any intel on it on his Sub or Boosty.
Sadly no. Chapter 9 is a really good chapter, except for the blue ball fest. As you saw that many of the girls start losing their morals, especially Amelie. She didn't care about being outside in a public place or Davie being there. The next chapter will be Stephanie's defloration, and 11's will be Amelie's 1st sexual penetration with MC. A lot of good stuff is happening. Be patient.
