Can't? The dev has left all on that path out to dry already. They went all in several chapters ago, all of the current characters know that they are 2nd choice. Dev can save it by bringing in a new character or pulling a "Who shot JR?" (google it).

If you're upset over a fictional character committing suicide maybe you shouldn't be playing these games. Do you also get upset over fictional homicides in first person shooter games?

Yea, having the MC try to handle it himself was exactly the wrong way to tackle the subject. Suicidal people need professional help, not home remedies.
Loving the story so much so far. But aye, love the music that's been put all together.
