You need to speak with Samara in the tent for 3-4 times so that you will get the required truth.
After you compare the dates of Tom's birth date and the year his "father" died and you talk to Alfred to find out that Tom is a fraud you need to go through the whole invade mind process with Evelyn's dark secret. Then end the spell reveal the truth to Evelyn. Once she knows the truth you remove ambition again and suggest that there is nothing wrong with sex before marriage then end the spell. Now you can confess your feelings to her. That will get you past this part.

In my previous version of the game, a year ago roughly, Evelyn was supposed to be the MC's sister. The walkthrough is consistent with this. Is there no patch to make it so ?
