Game is already done. Was done several updates ago. These phantom updates that offer nothing other than minute changes are just the continuation of milking patrons. You know that because that is all you get after several months, and if you don't know that then you are just some basement nerd who doesn't know anything about games.

Im not a patreon member and i haven't played this game yet. But going into the worst assumption about the dev is asinine. He might be doing this to leave the game as polished as he can, because he cares about his work.
I might be wrong, tho. There are a lot of scummy devs.

Devs update their games twice a year with 5 minute content and sometimes no content because they care about their work. Has absolutely nothing to do with milking the cash cow.

New Game Plus is able to be played. No real new content between them though, except the dialogue at the start. To be able to enter New Game Plus, you need to have a finished game. New Game Plus just starts you with your money and stats from previous game.

There's nothing else going on in the world that might cause a developer to have to slow down, right? Did you ask the developer or are you just making shit up?

The dev has so much going on in the world that they managed to release multiple 'updates' over the last year that added very little if any real material, while still happily collecting the free handouts.
