User account system is currently in public beta testing phase. Bugs, inconsistencies and features not working as intended are to be expected.
It says "Sandbox", so it's not for me. Others may feel differently, but I'm not gonna spend ho hours of grinding through the same stuff over and over.
No wonder, only Mac and Android users are dumb enough to pay for this.
Another word: There a many new scenes, helpful storyline navigation, this is indeed a major update and it totally makes sense the old saves are no longer working.
I recommend starting over.

After progressing a little in the game and settling in my own flat in the apartment, the map and time skip tab in the top menu disappeared. I'm stuck at home because I can't get off the map.
I stopped paying after view months. Loved the game, then I notice the lack of content updates and procrastination you are mentioning. Instead I stick to 1x payment for finished products. I am not supporting that behavior or increase of it spreading across other projects by supporting it with subbing. It would be ok for me to sub, like netfix sub and then the developers get paid on the algorithm and all the sudden there would be tons of content made right per the audience request.
