User account system is currently in public beta testing phase. Bugs, inconsistencies and features not working as intended are to be expected.
I bet this game will get abandon before it's end. Dev is dragging out the updates and then they are fairly short. These are the ones that make me loose interest and I'm sure I'm not alone.
The updates are so slow in the cashgrab that it doesn't have change log anymore. It's usually 4-5 renders and two months grabbing money from dumbfucks.

Seems you've hit a common permissions bug, where not even a device's admin account has permission to open the game file.
The Author of "Shard Of My Soul" had a similar bug and was able to fix it.
I thought this work was dead.
