If you follow the directions below, it will take a couple of days, but when you get Roommate off an hour early, you will see Blackmail as an option. I finished Roommate off for photo shoot first, but maybe that is just how I played it. I never took a photo of Director and Dick, but when I tried to blackmail her, she called security. Not sure if that is normal or if because I didn't have a picture (MS showed her a tablet, with photo), then she called security. (It still worked out)

It has a bug in this version when you reach that scene. I recommend you to wait for the next update like what I do.
For MAC owners open your last save from /Users/username/library/RenPy/My_cute_roommate1/ and use the editor https://www.saveeditonline.com/ and put the blackmail_director > on 1/0 (0) to blackmail_director > on 1/0 (1). download save and replace it in your savefolder. You now have the blackmailquest.
