Haven't played the latest 1-2 update/s, but that's sadly a common issue with these Renpy games (possibly patreon games in general). Even when they start good, updates slow down, they get bloated, and lose focus (if they ever had any).
Fapnation usually waits a few versions if nothing big has been added.
