I don't know what you are planning for the future, but I hope it retains your current quality. I could not warm up to the Damian character. Two years of moping, whining etc does not seem plausible to me. I think the women in his life, Family, Friends etc would have worked to fix his grief / depression each and every day. If they were successful, then when he learned Kiara is alive, he would have a choice, and whoever was his partner know, would fight to keep him.
The schoolteacher character, Azumi? Suppose she found the stash of whatever drug her Uncle was giving her, and Azumi used it on Kiara. While Azumi was groping Kiara, Kiara could have (due to her drug and shock therapy history) hallucinations / fantasies about each and every character.
