The thing is that the worst thing a "reasonable" person trying not to be a bigot believes about a minority group, is the thing that the bigots were claiming to believe all along. "Gays used to want equality, but not this" was a usable line forever, so no amount of improved equality is gonna make the homophobes ever want to change.
I do hope that people stop associating everything that brings up the concept of gender or same sex hookups, with their political grievances about California or whatever. But that's the difference between you, just someone with an opinion on the issue, and someone like OP who is so media poisoned that the issue is the only thing they can bring into a conversation.
Yeah I think you're conflating stuff, OP is talking about pageant shows and not the French movie about little girls dancing or whatever it was about.
Cuties was a French movie, with one director, that premiered in Utah and France; and I don't think Netflix had any role in producing it, they just looked at it and were like "yeah we want to show this to the whole world, have our money".

As you can see in the screenshots, if you bothered to check, it's in cg anime style. So if you're not a weeb, this is probably not the game for you.
Story-wise the synopsis says it all. So most of the game is somewhat predictable.
The sandbox game-play isn't for everyone since it can get tedious. Yet it leaves the player the option of which person they want to pursue.
There's some mistakes in grammar and spelling. This can be confusing at times, but nothing too major.
Don't like all this, again, you prerogative. Don't whine, play something else.
