Doing this with a non-incest-patched copy just made loading any of my saves result in errors.

Interestingly, doing literally nothing to the files lets me proceed to Day 9.
Adding the incest patch leads to End Of Content even if I've started Day 9.
Doing the save-preserving thing makes loading my saves cause errors.
Something isn't right here.
