In campaign promises only, yes. But not when kissing Israel's ass; giving them billions in aid, allowing Gaza genocide. Not releasing Epstein client files. Not ending Ukraine killing of ethnic Russians. Not making a path to prosecuting Hillary Clinton, Fauci, Pelosi, Schiff. Not terminating Lindsey Graham (war-monger). Not by imposing insane tariffs on imports (hurts consumers financially).

He did deport illegal aliens as promissed +

Trump was originally a registered Democrat from Queens, New York. Switched to Independent then to Republican for 2016 election. Trump's heart is with the democratic party - war and taxes [tariffs].

Shift to Republican Party

  • Trump officially became a Republican in 2009 and has remained with the party since then, although he has also registered with other parties, including the Independence Party.
  • His transition to the Republican Party was marked by his 2016 presidential campaign, where he positioned himself as a conservative candidate.

Current Political Identity

  • Trump describes his views as "common sense," "conservative," and more recently, "nationalist."
  • His political positions have evolved, but he is generally aligned with conservative and populist ideologies.

Public Perception

  • Critics have pointed out his past affiliations and donations to Democratic candidates, raising questions about his commitment to the Republican platform.
  • Despite his past as a Democrat, Trump has successfully garnered support from the Republican base, particularly through his focus on issues like immigration and economic nationalism.

with that said, Trump is a an ego maniac. His support base is collapsing for his inability to keep his campaign promises and not making America first. According to Trump's actions Israel is first, then second comes Ukraine(proxy war with Russia), third is America.
