I joined the u.s.army to follow in my families footsteps and defend the ideals that i believed my country stood for...that being said, I no longer have faith in my government or any elected official, to quote Lewis Black " our two party system is essentially a giant bowl of shit looking at its reflection in a mirror saying "ooh don't i smell so good!"you do not have to like or even agree with any of the negative views on our country but you do have to accept that those views do exist and not just because of hatred for our country, but hatred for the obliviousness of our people to constantly elect in free elections the very officials that keep bring our country and its people to shame
addendum to above: and what did I get for my service? one lost big toe on my left foot, a near crippling back injury that too the VA 11 years to fix and a 27 year battle with the VA to get full compensation for my injuries sustained
