It's not free. People are paying on sites like patreon. They are also being paid for an unfinished product that many devs never even intend on finishing.
Just because it's free doesn't mean we have to like it, would you eat rotten food just because it's free? is true that most of us are free player (myself included) but we still can say if we like it or not, what we liked and what not, and we can said it in a energic way too, at much we cannot demmand something because we dont't pay, but the patrons can, they are paying for this after all, but beside that, if i think the game suck i can say it, i'm not forcing him to do nothing with that
