According to science, that is not always the case. They come in many varieties. There are some that are pretty stable and some that basically nuke the surface of the planet. One of the planets is tidally locked and the other is large enough that its near orange dwarf level with is the most stable of the suns out there. I was actually doing a lot of research for this one.
