It ruins every game, porn or no porn. Even in the case of porn games that lean on BDSM, the submission a character demonstrates only work because it is chosen. If you are submissive, you choose to be powerless, you choose to give up your body for the pleasure of another - and that is a sexual choice in and of itself. But if there is no agency, then BDSM is just rape. Every male MC has agency. Games like Good Girl Gone Bad, Chloe 18, Succulence, and half a dozen other female protagonist games, have success because the female MC is the one making the choices. Games like Town of Magic sports an MC that isn't choosing anything. She's just along for the ride. Which means it's like a porn walking simulator, or a VN with extra clicks. It bores the player to tears unless they belong to a very... Special subcategory of sexuality.
