Optional gay is not problem if 100% avoidable, how Summertime Saga did it, can't stumble into on accident. Instead of "you can choose not be gay, but only after ambushed with SURPRISE FUTA DICK, LOL!" Like queer games Tales From Unending Void and Lunar's Chosen did nonconsent gay ambush!

I like the "idea" of this game, I always have, but it's always been so focused on being a male, I really wish it started with the ability to change sex and it was separate from orientation
