Characters

Josie
Being the daughter of the town Mayor, Josie is afforded many privileges but at the cost of her autonomy. She is a staunch supporter of the Faun and wishes to abolish Canbe’s anti-faun policies, much to her father’s dismay. Her story is one of overcoming hardship, betrayal, and self-discovery.

Claire
Claire has spent her life overshadowed by her parents’ success, constantly striving for their approval, but while working part-time at the local bookstore, she stumbles upon the dark truth behind her family’s wealth: it was built on the exploitation of Faun slaves. Faced with this devastating revelation, Claire’s admiration for her parents shatters. Her story is one of disillusionment and moral conflict.

Alice
As a wolf Faun, life is difficult in Canbe. More difficult than most other places in Avaria. In contrast to the rest of the country, Fauns are ridiculed and treated as second or even third-class citizens. Alice’s story is one purely of survival, help her navigate her way to a better life.

Blair
As manager of the local bookstore, Blair is more than just a keeper of stories—she’s a broker of secrets. Behind her calm demeanour lies a secret she’s desperate to keep buried. Will she use her knowledge to bring freedom to Canbe, or retreat into the shadows to protect herself alone?

This release brings a multitude of improvements, fixes, and new additions.

For starters, let’s talk about the Farm System. You can now buy seeds and sell crops at the new Market location. For now, this Market location is only accessible from the Farm Board. I’m debating adding it to the Shops location, as this is where it is canonically situated. Alongside this, you’ll notice a new tutorial button in the top right of the Farm Board. This explains the basic mechanics of the Farm System and what each option does. I hope it proves useful 🙂

Moving on, I’ve completely re-vamped the House Navigation System. Icons will now stay in their correct position, the sub-location you are currently at will appear greyed out, and outside/inside sub-locations are kept separate. Altogether, this should improve the fluidity and usability of the UI.
