Flight of the Swallow

Flight of the Swallow is a story-driven bondage-themed erotic 3D adventure game that puts you in the shoes of Sandra “Sandy” Curnow, a flight engineer aboard the Diomeda spaceship.

You control Sandy’s body and limbs using a physically simulated active ragdoll system to navigate through the ship in low- and zero-gravity environments, with regular movement being possible when in low orbit.

As you explore the ship’s various sections in challenging traversal sequences and struggle out of restraints in bondage escape scenarios, you’ll get to interact and build relationships with the ship’s crew, unfolding the story through cutscenes and dialogue while trying to figure out why you woke up stripped and in handcuffs one day.

Add: You can now configure the “collision detection mode” of all the ragdolls in the game, in the Gameplay options. The default option, “Continuous Speculative” is the same as it was before, and aside from “Discrete”, is in my opinion the least good option. “Continuous” is the best but also the heaviest, check if it makes you lose too many FPS. But unlike “Continuous Speculative”, it won’t register collisions through walls and should not (that remains to be tested) make an exploding ragdoll press buttons it shouldn’t have access to. The last option, “Continuous Dynamic” is simply “Continuous” when colliding against physical objects (ragdoll vs ragdoll or ragdoll vs crates or physical doors, or flying items) and “Continuous Speculative” when colliding against static objects (buttons, which means a fast moving ragdoll can still bump against buttons on the other side of a wall). So I recommend “Continuous”, that’s even the mode used by crops and belts when it comes to spanking Sandy’s butt anyway, so I know it’s precise. Continuous Speculative just wasn’t up to the task with those “tools”.

Change: When wearing a restraint that decreases the Grab ability of the hands down to 0 (like the armbinder), Sandy is not able to grab anything anymore, let alone propel herself. However, the attraction of her hands is now still there, because it represents the ability to move the arms to reach the target (that’s controlled by the Reach ability, not by the Grab ability). This makes the armbinder a little bit easier to live with when in zero-G as you can use the attraction to somewhat control Sandy’s trajectory better, even if you can’t grab handles or propel from them while restrained in it. It does require some skill, though. Armbinders are serious stuff. They’re not for the faint-hearted.

Change: I’ll start working on the Recycler Deck soon, so I already created the scene and added the floor to the elevators. But there are no rooms made yet so there are walls blocking the entrance for now. So don’t be surprised if you can access that new level and there’s nothing there, it will come in time.

Change: NPCs are now capable of floating from handle to handle when in zero-G. This is a big change, and a deep one, that will have its use later but it implies that since humans don’t have magnetic feet and don’t always wear active mag shoes, they go to ragdoll mode and float when the gravity is off. They no longer behave like hostesses and workerbots whose feet are always on the floor. This also implies that mag shoes must be active, even for NPCs, and this created some issues in a few scenes. Therefore, any save that was created before 0.22.7 will ignore the saved activation state of the mag shoes, and will instead take the default activation state of those shoes (they’re all active by default except Jenny’s and Kate’s, since those two have magnetic feet).

Change: Now Sandy makes a facial expression when you “nudge” her (press Y when she’s floating immobile and she doesn’t have thrusters).

Change: Added inventory icons for the armbinder and the corset.

Change: Sandy is now impervious to hits while having an orgasm (and shortly after). That should keep her from knocking herself out while having a good time.

Fix: There was an annoying load time when floating all the way to the ceiling in the LIF garden, as the game was loading the ship’s hull as seen from CMD, but without being in CMD.

Fix: Physical objects held or worn by a character were missing from photos taken in the game (e.g. crop, belt).

Fix: At the very beginning of Put Your Arms Around Me, Monica makes Sandy cum. If Sandy wore nipple clamps or stuff that gave her a little pleasure, she could keep cumming forever, but now Monica rubs her less hard while her orgasm is ongoing so she shouldn’t be stuck anymore.

Fix: When Kyle grabs Sandy during Shock To The System, he takes care of freeing her from any restraints first (and puts them, and the clothes if any, in Sandy’s LAFR and LAF closets respectively).

Fix: Thrust Factor and Natural Air Friction will now be treated as 0 even when they’re positive but very close to 0 (0.02 or less), to avoid rounding errors when saving the options.

Fix: In Afterglow, when Monica talks to DAL then sends Laura away, fast-forwarding x8 could block the conversation between her and Sandy until Sandy crawled on her knees to her, in the middle of the room, while she was supposed to stay next to the couch. The distance watch was simply added too soon during the convo.

Fix: When scenes load and/or unload, an NPC in “wait for actor mode” (typically when an NPC walks to a destination and waits for Sandy to follow or at least be near the path), the NPC would briefly stop and ask Sandy to go faster, even when she was in the right position. This was due to some Unity shenanigans making a path have 0 corner while scenes are loading (but the path was still valid, and would recover its corners one frame later). Go figure.

Fix: The elbow ropes with shoulders were making Sandy rotate by herself over time when in zero-G.

Fix: Tentative fix for Croc potentially going in a loop during World In My Eyes. Not sure if the bug will be fixed, because I can’t repro it on my side.

Fix: During the fourth part of The Fog, when training Sandy to grab a handle in zero-G, Mina didn’t give her more slack like she pretended to.
