An update for those who are interested. The game is now definitely switching to Renpy, from the next update onwards ( which should be released sometime in the next fortnight). There will be a map, but you won't need to walk around it as you do presently. I assume you'll just need to click on the location you want to visit next. The game will also include side quests, separate from the main storyline, and some hidden areas. There will be a quest journal and a walkthrough will be available later.

One of the best games tbh
Switching to Renpy was a good decision I believe. Even for non-haters of RPGM, it has become rather tedious, I suppose. Naturally it comes with a prize, regarding the routes we gamers decided for Anna, the Renpy edition does some compensation, but naturally the personal influence of the earlier versions is gone to some extent. Nevertheless the chapter 2.01 looks fine and fun so far.
