This is the usual route these stories go. The dev starts a game, grabs a few patrons but not as many as they think they deserve and then the whole thing limps along like a wounded turtle while the suck money out of their supporters for minimal updates. Worse still are devs like Pandelo that just abandon the game entirely but keep taking their supporters money. They give the entire Patreon system a bad reputation.
