Being A DIK Status Update - Episode 8
I mainly worked on a free roam event this week. It took a longer time than expected to complete it due to the new environment design, the number of characters per render, and the sheer render count. But the art for it is queued up for rendering now, and I will continue to pose static renders for normal scenes.
There are currently 33 animations in my animation queue; it's also taking longer to render some animations than expected due to environments and +
the number of models in some of the animations (wink wink).
My development folder is currently 2.5 GB bigger than v0.7.2, equal to the new content I've produced thus far for the episode. And I'm not done until the season finale has the content I planned for it. I'm just as eager to release it as you are to play it.

The first season was released in 4 episodes, so i'm assuming that this episode will be the last of this 'season'. But it won't end there right?
Personally i think there's content for another 4 episodes, likely 12 and even 16. You're 2 months into Uni at this point and ngl, i don't think i'd be satisfied if the story ended before Uni was over, because that's kinda what the whole premise is based around, you knowing these girls at Uni.
Good question. I hope this is a long term project. The game is too good to end just after two seasons.
Exactly, there's a lot uncover, and since you'd still be in contact with these girls throughout your time at Uni, it would make sense that the game would end whenever you leave. However, that could mean 4 in game years, and considering 2 in-game months have passed during 8 episodes, that seems unlikely. Either he's going to end it early (end of year 1 maybe) or maybe you get kicked out? Or, hopefully, there's enough story for 4 in game years, even if a few months are skipped here and there.
Yup, agreed. Some girls are already older than you (Sage and Jill) so they would graduate early. Personally, I think he would end it after year 1 and maybe have an epilogue but lets see what Dr. Pinkcake decides!
I think he'll be good enough to end it whenever the story ends. That might be in year 1 or not. Because right now, he's earning enough to live and make profit, so there's no reason he'd stop if there's still more story. It just depends on if he can write enough story with the skill he has.
Sage, Jill, Rusty and Tommy are all in their final years. You can't lose those characters and carry on with the game. I think you're right they'll be an epilogue, telling us what happens later, and who ends up with who
In any case, to cover just one academic year, at the present rate of progress, will take approximately another 9-10 years.
I think it's only going to cover 1 year. Because at the end of this year, Jill, Sage, Tommy and Rusty will all finish college. So perhaps 1 season will equate to one semester, so probably two more after this? I mean can you really see the game continuing without Jill?
Season 1 is already done (episodes 1-4 I believe). Season 2 is in development and MC is still in first year. Lets see.
