Same. I can play most modern PC games on high graphics, even some terribly optimized games. This game though, is a nightmare.
The big thing that helped was to force the camera as close to the PC as possible, so it's basically over your shoulder. The lag drops significantly. I think it's to do with rendering, and the positioning of the free camera. Also, there isn't any fog or anything, so the entire world is basically rendered at once.
These are all issues that are VERY common with Unity games.
I only have one thing to say, please don't quit this game. It's by far one of the best game on this site.

You need to have one Neph. of the type and same gender as your MC must be caught wild
Spirit form is acquired from the nephelym leader that is next to the goddess angel in the town near farm
Severe performance issues on potato PCs. The dev really should implement a "drawing distance" alternative in the options. Lowest settings don't cut it at all.
