We all know you weigh in at an excess of 500 lbs and that the only woman you've ever interacted with AT ALL is your shitty mum, so you can drop the act. The first 30 minutes gives off such a strong serial killer/rapist vibe, that I struggle to accept that the mc is actually a decent person.

I'm almost in awe of how gripping this game is. Even despite the weird mixing of UK and US aspects (sometimes characters say "arse", other times "ass", and at one point a character talks about money and uses British pounds, yet the bills have old Benjamin and $100 printed on them) and the kind of poor facial expressions (aside from blushing, characters rarely truly emote in the game), the writing and character interactions are so vivid that it almost feels real in a sense, especially the romance parts.

Yeah, the game won't be scratching any "instant gratification/straight to fapping" itches, and the lack of player choice is a bit grating at times, it's still a highly enjoyable story with some pretty decent erotic content. And the animations are top notch to boot. Really smooth stuff! Not to mention how the MC is a smartly and sharply written guy with a simple relatable goal and story in life, which is always a plus.

All in all, if you like a good story then try out Cosy Café!

I don't know what it is. I know, intellectually, that the mc is a good guy. But I still half expected him to drug Lucy's food that first time. He was way too accepting of her intruding on his home and business, so I guess I'm expecting an ulterior motive.

That says more about you than either the MC or the writers of the game. Dude saw a girl in shabby clothes and who's clearly kinda freaked out. That'd trigger just about anyone's empathy instincts, so of course he acts nicely to her.

I half agree. Women are mentally, and physically compared to men in terms of strength, children their whole lives. But beating children is fucked up. What kind of person feels the need to beat somebody who can't defend themselves mentally or physically? That's just sadism masquerading as utility.
