On the dev's discord he announced he was redoing the portraits againt to make it a lot less cartooney. It'll be still cartooney but toned down so those that didn't like the more cartoon style are not as upset. Having said that, I also noticed he can draw normal 2d drawings and he is pretty good also. Way better than the average 2d developer. Idk why he does a game on pixel art when it would be so much better if he drawn it but I still will play it. I'm here for the god-tier story telling.
yup i read that myself, kudos to him well done, and respecting the 2D pixel art thingy, you shouldĀ“tn belive me BUT i aparently pixel art is easier to animate, besides is personal preference, i really like pixel pron XD is kinda nostalgic
Game started out with "copied but not traced" art while dev was learning how to draw.
it then replaced all the art with truly original art by the dev once he learned to draw. which resulted in a one time drop in quality. it has been getting a bit better since as the dev improves.
is txxus ok?
For what I've seen they have been spending time learning to draw non-pixel art lately. He's pretty good, even better than at pixel art I would say. Maybe that's why hthey slowed down with the game.
