I think you're right about the whole being told think/do is tearing them apart. Like now you can't judge a person for having an onlyfans, you can only accept it or you're seen as a repressive expletive or some other trigger word. But it's just not in our nature to lie to ourselves about beliefs like that. However, with the threat of being shunned from the community, it's a lose lose scenario. It's like a draft. you can force people into the armed service under the threat of being arrested, but they aren't going to do as well under the circumstance of that of someone who enlisted on their own. Some will allow themselves to get arrested, some will do what they think is expected of them, and others will dodge the draft by leaving the nation.
