How is it that you didn't experience a problem earlier in the first parts? And, why now? Honestly, it's very strange.

Playing these games is very easy and simple.
Download and extract. Next, play the game. Want to add a taboo patch? Just download and extract taboo patch 2. Then, copy and paste the file inside the "Game' folder, inside Grandma's house folder.

For some reason I have loading problems with this and a couple other games. It doesn't happen often. But it gets frustrating when it works fine for several updates, then it doesn't.

I always saved at the proper screens. To make sure I also saved in each section: Qsave, Asave, Save. So my previous saves should have no reason not to load. Yes, I already checked to see if each save worked to load, before asking for help.

My last save was for v0.93. When I tried to load it in either v0.94 or v0.95 I either get a black screen or it goes back the the menu page. Only way out is to shut down the game.

Did you use the taboo patch when you played v0.93? If you did, and updated the v0.93 to v0.94. The update removes the taboo patch, so you have to install it again in the game folder under Grandma's house folder.
I had this problem back in part 3. I thought I could continue without it, but I couldn't. So, I downloaded the one appropriate for part 3. Problem solved, I was able to continue, avoiding a complete restart.

Have you tried this before?
Also, don't save when the dev tells you. What I do is I save before the 'save now' screen, a render before that. The only time I do save is on "save now" when it's the end of a part.

I've used the taboo patch(es) from the very start. Which each update, I'd use the latest taboo patch(es) for that part.

I used the new update v0.94, not the v0.93 to v0.94. Would I have better luck using the v0.93 to v0.94 instead?

As for the taboo patches, I always install them in the "game" folder.

As for the "save now", I always go back the the previous screen to save, It's worked fine when I loaded the saves in the next updates about 70-80% of the time.

update after setting up a route folder for GH, sub folders for each update, added the patches (1st for first, 2nd for the rest), my save loaded. 🙂 Hopefully this continues to work.

One way is better, just don't download crap games like this one, problem solved.
