do i need to start a new game i played it for years but suddenly my save games don't work anymore ?
I don't like Runey's "Fighter for Elven freedom" and all that social crap attitude. And he's not exactly a master of the polished word, many of his conversations seem petty or trivial.
But - and this is a huge but by now: If you get involved in starting "Harem Hotel" over and over again from the beginning, you can't help but admire how much he has improved in many ways. His three cute little prostitutes at the beginning in Caliber (red, blue, purple) embody this perfectly; just looking at them is a joy.
It's actually a real game by now, very erotic, and much more than just a visual novel. Runey doesn't come close to "The Headmaster", but many other game developers on this site are no longer even worth shaking hands with him.
Runey literally explicitly states he is "proud to be a social justice warrior" and hates people who use SJW as an insult

I'd guess the reason it ain't on android is the file size was getting to big.

It is a best game of course. I have a free advice for the developer. Make multiple parts of the game pls cause your game is getting way too much bigger every update. Goodluck.
This game is incredibly fun. It has only one drawback. It is addicting. It is really hard to stop playing. You just get too engrossed in the characters and can't stop.
Runey cares about character development (the whole game overall). He avoids settling on lazy tropes as he meticulously builds their traits, motives, distinctions, hopes, fears, dreams, struggles, etc. Then there are the stories and world-building that receive equal attention. He has talent compared to other one-person developer in this genre. Whereas a person is great at framing and rendering images, but may lack animation skills or the most egregious for me, poor writing.
Yes, I know most don't play these games/visual novels for stories. But for me, bad writing just takes me out of it. I may as well go watch regular porn if that's the case. Because each part when done well enhances the other. Runey gets this.
I have to agree (after binge playing the game to completion). Runey is likely the best developer out there and that is saying a lot. There are many really good ones. No one can approach his ability to create a character. He is obviously a genius when it comes to understanding personality development and even the way the world works. Fortunately he has started working again.
Bad writing can sometimes be ignored if a game focuses on some kind of niche kink like Holstein Girls does (though that one isn't really all that badly written.)
My computer died and I just got a new one. Is it worth replaying the game for the new scenes that were added or at this point should I just wait for a complete version in case he adds more new early scenes?
It is really up to you. Runey just started working again (Nov 22, 2023) so it will be a while before the next update. From what he said that will not be the last, so it will be a long time before the came is complete. It is a really big game now (12 GB) and has been going on for more than 5 years. I do not think it is nearly over. I would not have any problem starting over from scratch and playing it again. If you want to wait for the end then you will be waiting a long time.
