The dev needs to keep the suspense up. A basic rule of drama is to protract the main "conflict" for as long as you can: Once the lovers are united, the tension is gone and the story ends. I think the story between the MC and his (outrageously beautiful) mother is progressing smoothly. This seems to be one of the few visual novels made by an adult FOR adults.
The MC already got to fuck his older cousin, his younger cousin, his older cousin's best friend, and his older cousin's best friend's mother. What more do you want?
