Can someone please tell me how to use the update only file will it be automatic or do i need to use something to add it to the game itself someone said something about a hotfix patch but i have no idea what they meant?

Ok my OCD isnt going to leave me alone till i get this and dont have a great deal of gb left for the month i downloaded the v0.5.8.1 without doing anything with the update only file so do i use the update only file then the hotfix patch or what someone please take a few seconds and tell me what to do
do i need some kind of app to open a hotfile on a pc i now habve a file i cant even open?
im on a dell if it matters
