Big world full of nothing. Not worth wasting your time with this one.
The way the events are triggered make the whole thing incoherent.
For example, say we see Anna moping the Entry Hall and we choose to Donāt interrupt, another event can trigger, saying for example "You see Anna working, feather duster in hand" (knowing that only 4 to 6 minutes passed from the previous event).
Another example will be when Anna is in the Entry Hall around 9AM and Eve is supposedly in the Kitchen and that we get the haunting-like song event, if we choose to Investigate then we will get description that says itās late at night and that Anna is asleep atop Eve laps before Eve herself lie to sleep.
Also, if we roll-back after a choice in an event, then the eventās trigger will randomize again.
For example, the Anna moping event, say we choose to Donāt interrupt then to roll-back this choice, then Anna may be doing something else or not even be there.
Also, interaction with the characters are poor and meaningless, even more with Rey. As for the romance tag, let me laugh.
Everything should be more interactive and reactive, and the relationship changes more various and balanced. There should also be more options in general, otherwise itās just a kinetic novel in disguise.
Also, the narrative bias of the uncleās and the MCās thoughts towards characters considered as slaves is very strong despite the disclaimer at the beginning of the game which indicated not to glorify slavery. Both the uncle and the MC state at some point, with there own words, that the slaves are inferior.
Also, seeking to show the touching side that the uncle could have had and to show what could have led him to what he has become, it is just trying to justify what cannot be justified. The beginning of the diary about Belle instilled a bit of doubt, but in the end this uncle was indeed an asshole from the start (the other diaries prove it).
