No. You actually have a surprising degree of choice in the game. It does force a few decisions that I would have liked to have a choice on, but it handles the choices and branches a lot better.
Choices you make can also lead to drastically different outcomes. It also doesn't really rely on the illusion of choice gimmick that most of these games rely on.
