a problem in general, the need for ressources is very often under estimated, a decent game needs an awful lot of time, very good hardware and a couple of people who can work together.

It's all about the Patreon money! Even an abandoned game accrues monthly payments, and the Dev gets new patrons with a new game. It's an old trick but suckers still fall for it.
Just enjoy what's available -- but expect that half these games will NEVER be finished.
