There is a phone icon in the left upper corner, hard to see sometimes, this is the hints button. It'll tell you what to do next and how many point to achieve before the next step. if you click on the character it'll give you some info on that character.
To earn points with a character you just need to talk to them, shower after a certain level gives a point as well. I don't think sex acts give points, but they're fun to go through nonetheless.
So boring game.
