Awful navigation for Renpy and early on asking for a pin code to open the safe that's not obviously laying around.
But it is lying around, in your handbag - upper right corner of the screen just below day time icon. But you are correct, navigation is horrible and combat even more. Random hit/miss chance, so entire combat is game of chance. Good luck with that.
The 3d modeler who made the mc should quit, if this is their idea of a quality product.
