In Parental love, you take on the role of a father of two who had a falling out with his wifeĀ Emily.
You were a cocaine addict, you were a bad father, sharing only brief moments of happiness with your children between your inebriated and sober states, your children and Emily you now long for those happy times they shared with you. A while after your second daughterĀ Ada,Ā was born, Emily thought it best you two get a divorce.
You two went through a breakup and the court ruled her sole custody of your children.
It's been fifteen years since then and you've gone to multiple different rehab programs. Now that you're clean of drugs, You decided to start dating Emily once again. You've been dating her online for many months now and your relationship is blossoming. She's taken a new liking to you and believes you two can restore things to the way they used to be. You live in different states, but it's summertime and you've decided to visit Emily in Ohio. The game begins when you first meet her in a bar.
The game is a visual novel with various decisions to be made. Every decision you make in Parental Love will affect the future in one way or another. I guarantee, you will not encounter every scene in the game on your first playthrough without someĀ save scummingĀ which I do encourage. The actual gameplay comes down to just making decisions.
You will meet a lot of other female characters along the way such as Ada, Elly and some of their friends. There will also be other men who will try to get to your women, but you're not going to let that happen.

Nice game, however, the plan that the DEV / MC has regarding Eric is not a wise one, MC not being smart ,it would be nice to have a choice in this matter, play the harem route and you will see what I mean.
Love this game, but, this latest update, for the harem route, has me saying wtf is going on, the mc is making stupid decisions and you get no say in it, where if you did, it would be more fun and not so obverse in whats going to happen.
I just hope it doesn't follow the same path as "Acting Lessons", starts of good, interesting than in the last few version, updates becomes a story book that makes no sense and with no options for you to choose from.
The game's quality level dropped a lot in the last update, a lot of inconsistency in the story, and the MC has no choice about what to do or when to do it.
I was discouraged to follow this game, and it's a shame because the story seemed to have a lot of potential at the beginning.
I really like these types of games, where the choices you make at the beginning of the game set you on a certain path with in that game, or at least it opens up certain paths, routes.
I've just started to play this game again from the start, on all routes, paths, looking for any errors, after all the DEV's put a lot of work in to this game, I feel it's only right it should be perfect, as I find them I will list them below, please feel free to comment.
Near the start Emily welcomes you to the apartment, which is near the railway, that's the only time you read about the railway, and part of the background, view from the windows give you the impression the apartment is like four, five stories up, at least, and this changes throw out the game where it looks like ti's 10 stories up, also the game give you the impression that all rooms are on the same level, and the view from all the windows are completely different,
but they still hint that the apartment is at least 4 stories up, so how can it be that the front door is on the ground floor, road level, with the bedrooms, is it some kind of time warp.
Also there's a story line that's doesn't quite make sense regarding ADA, (sorry being cryptic so not to give to much away).
I really don't like Elly with blonde hair. So sad that's forced on us for the Harem route instead of it being optional. She's barely a side character these days though so does it even matter. Yes, yes it does because red heads are best heads.

I would enjoy this game like, 50% more if the sets didn't feel so empty (For example, the families entire kitchen is a single countertop island, and a stove. Nothing else), and we had more 'in between shots' to help illustrate a better motion of events.
I've definitely played worse, I just hope the Luxee is able to do another pass over his already established content to help it feel like a more coherent story
