I know that as of 2.06 the Dev removed the Beast and Taboo scenes. Is that still the case in the new update?

It's not been made clear here. But you'll have to start the game again, because since the previous update posted on this site in September, the Dev has been forced by Patreon to remove content from his game ( Animalistic and Taboo). And this has meant a substantial rewrite of parts of the game, which means any saves from that or earlier updates no longer work.
The Dev has altered the game. So I'm pretty certain the bestiality scenes, don't exist anymore
There is a patch, that will be released with the public version on Saturday. The leaked version above, was not one of those released by the Dev. Which is why there is no patch, which restores all the omitted content. And will eventually allow more incest and bestiality content to be added to the game. If you want the patch you'll need to visit the Dev's Patreon on Saturday, and download the public version.
Sorry, I mean't Subscribestar not Patreon. There should be a post with the links and encryption keys on that day.
Apparently, the version above is the Patreon version, which has the patch omitted. The public version that will be released on Subscribestar and the Dev's Discord on Saturday, will have the patch already inside
