Well not all of us that play these are basement dwellers, for example I'm married and have been for 8 years now. Two things. Most VN players may be male due to there being less content aimed at females, and the dev is trying to address the gap. Alternatively, male players may still like content from the female perspective.

Cont. This has actually been studied scientifically, and a huge majority of people fantasize about sex from the perspective of the opposite gender. Makes sense if you think about. If you at least think about what sex is like for the other person, you are more likely to be a good sexual parter, and more likely to find someone to have sex with.

This actually is an evolutionary trait in humans rather than a conscious decision.
