Nah, just the same character model. These characters can usually be downloaded and used in any DAZ3D project. Many developers will use them with very little modification. I like to think of it as being like movies where we see actors who play different roles.

LOL, yeah, that is the sort of thing that will turn me off of a game really fast. The queer stuff doesn't bug me as much, especially since it can be avoided. But any game where I find myself clicking... and clicking... and clicking... with endless thought drives me nuts. I was playing one game where the MC was greeted at the front door, 15 mins later and too many lines of dialog to count and they finally entered the home! I was like "GET INSIDE AND SIT DOWN ALREADY!!!" LMAO
