Yup. Despite that this is surprisingly deep game with well developed quests, story and lore. Also clever enemy AI. It can be tricked, but otherwise execute swarming tactics reasonably well and at least try to avoid enemy attacks. Also there is more than one star system, I was surpriced there is so much content. Characters quite funny too and I didnn't expected that I would love so much to assemble sexbots.

It was especially funny that sexbots often turns out way smarter than their owner. I made several with so high intelligence that quite a few of them managed to run away eventually. If you have bot like this and haven't invested in immobilizers you wish to sell it immediately, tommorrow it will kiss you goodbye.

One bad thing personally for me though is that for some reason game developer insist that player must be a criminal. You must befriend pirates as story unfolds and can't liberate slaves if you pick up capsules with them once enemy ship destroyed. After that you can either sale slaves to pirates or jettison them back into space. Evil like in Eve Online.

yeah, no! if I can't shoot it when I have him backed in a corner and he can then there is a serious problem with the developer and his game.

Pirate in the cantina advising how to deal with various enemies. He recommend particular ship config (such as weapon, shields and engine upgrades) for each type of enemies. Remember his main advice - end your turn behind a cover, if there is none - it's not worth fighting there. Action points at the top of the screen shows how many shots you can do per turn, as far as I can tell unless you spent all of them enemy won't return fire no matter how many hexes you pass (AI will move too however). So you should take preferable position for a shot (install all upgrades on your weapon to gain better range and rate of fire) then shoot but do not fire everything you can at that turn - save 1AP, hide behind the cover and there end your turn.

In space anomalies where you encounter random enemies you can roll back whenever you lose or load save and try again - new enemies generated randomly and can be tougher or easier by pure chance. However in story events and missions enemies have fixed level.
