Starship Inanna is a visual novel game being developed by The Mad Doctors in the Ren'Py Visual Novel Engine. At it's core it is a Choose Your Own Adventure style story set in a sci-fi universe akin to Star Trek or Mass Effect.
You take on the role of a Commander of the Titan Empire, who has just been assigned as second in command under Captain Alexandra Zal. The crew of the ship is comprised of select races of the Empire which the player will be able to interact with and have relationships with (that means plenty of sex).
As Commander you will be sent on missions to different planets where you will encounter new cultures and civilizations. You will run across slavers, enemy races, omnipotent beings, and more.

-Fixed Ā Alex not having a sex scene pop up with Jane in Episode 9 if you did in Ā Episode 8 (requires replaying Episode 9 Hegemony to correct)
-Fixed Ā Armin and Sam giving up the chance to pilot the Vanguard (if they were Ā on the team they would sometimes not take the helm.)
-Added dialog Ā about the Commander not flying the Vanguard if an Engineer (itās been a Ā while since they were in the pilotās seat as stated if they are Ā Tactical).
-Added save_name variables to Episode 9 Hegemony
-Added Ā a bunch of music to Episode 9 (due to a sync issue though weāre still Ā missing a few tracks, they will be included in a future update)
-Fixed some mis-gendering images in Episode 9 (Jane being John, John being Jane)
-Changed one choice in the Episode 9 Hegemony ending scenes to be descriptive rather than dialog.
-Added some wording to scene resulting from that choice.
-Cleaned up some dialog in that scene as well.
-Made latest Patreon Gallery Code unlock all previous ones to streamline the process.

It's because some of the races don't have males or females, in the same sense that humans do. Different alien species, have evolved in different ways to humans, and the gender neutral form of address is designed to reflect this
Calling somebody 'It' followed by their name, doesn't really work. But inventing gender neutral terms to exchange for Mr, Mrs or Miss, definitely does
I wished you could change the text to use normal English and not this gender-neutral gibberish (ze, hir etc.).
It's to reflect that English has changed over the centuries since our time. Just look at Old English a few hundred years ago, and it's very different to what it is now
We could all understand each other up to now. Communication is regressing to caveman times.
Since the Titan Empire is made up of alien races that don't have human male/female genders. It's totally logical to have gender neutral forms of address. Why would you refer to someone as male or female, if they were something else?
Calling somebody 'It' is pretty demeaning. How would you like it? So they've devised gender neutral terms. I don't know what the problem is? Unless you're educationally subnormal it's pretty obvious what these forms of address are referring to.
I like this game, but alas, the story hasn't made any progress in months...
An entire chapter was added a couple of weeks ago. This update was a bug fix of that content.
Not really a dealbreaker, but can we get the option to choose whether mc is light or dark skinned.
If the game was featuring a white male per default, would you ask for an option to have it dark skinned?
I'm not the guy who asked, but... if I'm trying to rp as the mc, why would I ask for something other than my own skin tone? I mean unless I'm tryna be an orc or smurf or whatever. For that matter, why would I ask devs to include anything other than what I personally want to rp? If you're into smoking fetish, would you ask devs to include piss in their game? I'm sure the panty sniffing fetishists are pretty tore up whenever a game doesn't involve preggo futas.
Stupid take. If enough black people started getting into porn games, you'd see them asking for a dark skinned version too. 95% of these idiots are white males, 20% of them hopelessly insecure racists.
The only thing the Mad Doctors need is better character models and someone better at composing sex scenes.
