User account system is currently in public beta testing phase. Bugs, inconsistencies and features not working as intended are to be expected.
And the sad part is that more money=slower progress and longer between updates, if i was the dev i would do the same thing, why hurry.
How to start playing new content right away, as it says in the changelog?

you don't need to replay with all the charchters in the game you just can go and play with eve directly.
Not knocking the effort because I was a patreon of this Dev before but this ver. has a few glitches with events randomly out of sync. Plus to fix some of the errors that may occur I realised that switching on the "skip" function during some malfunctions helps.
