The dev has been working on a different game since the release of this update and has only come back to work on this games update since July, and it's almost complete with the last status update being 15 hours ago. I think heās laundering money via his Patreon page and this game is just a front for it throughout all these years while it is in āeverlasting scam development stageā.

Itās not that the dev drops any financial report on what for he spent every penny out of several millions of dollars he collected past several years.

Well, truth be told, they are right that we will never know how much or if any revenue is going into actually improving developer tools or assets. Or even that more money really means more time dedicated to the project. Not that we have the right to know, just simple facts of the Patreon business model.
Wish the guys that had this much money to blow on dark cookie monthly, would put their funds into something, with a bit more accountability and likelihood of ending up as a finished product, like an adult content friendly alternative of Kickstarter or something. (If that even exists)
But yes, inb4, we are just poor soy boys. Patreon sucks. At least some games eventually end up Steam with Season passes. Much rather deal with content droughts and support their efforts there.
