2DCG is not meant to be an Android engine: it is typically ported over by people who don't make the game itself, and because it isn't meant to be an android engine, it's always poorly optimized, and it always will be. GTA: Vice City for Android meanwhile was optimized for Android by a huge studio *to be played on Android*, and as such will run much better with no issues.
It makes sense. At the very least, be thankful this isn't on the Unity engine: that wouldn't work at *all*.
Actually, it takes like 5-10 secs to launch GTA: VC on my device, but this trash needs 3-5 min to start (just to get in main menu). While Max Payne runs smoothly. I know MP was optimized for Android perfectly though, but still...
To me, it's just bizarre, because if someone would judge from loading time only, one may thought that Summertime Saga uses some high-end technologies comparing to GTA: VC/SA, Max Payne.
I think that's bullshit, it shouldn't be this way.

I heard Insexsity uses Unity, but it runs on my Android just fine.
So it depends mostly on dev himself, optimization I mean. In this case we have lazy ass who doesn't give a shit about such thing while making his game available for Android devices, though as for any other dev it would go without saying.
I realy like this game and i look forward to many more updates.
Ah typical gen y behavior thinking that everything should revolve around them. Guess what, the author works their ass off making a PC game that is very delicate code wise. Even for pc. What the fuck makes you and the maybe 5 percent of phone users think you get special privileges and that the developer needs to cater to you? How about you get your broke ass a job and buy a computer so you can play the game liek it is supposed to be played?

Yeah, that unfortunately checks out. DarkCookie, man... I feel like for the huge amount of money he makes off the game he should *properly* hire some people to work on it and accelerate update speeds. While I understand that money != speed for updates, at a certain point people should probably stop donating because he's making more than enough to live off of.
That said, people *can* pull their funding at any time, and if Patrons keep funding him, then they must believe he's doing right by them.
