SuperPowered is a RPG game made with Ren'py. In the game, you play as Billy, a young man still living with his mom. At the very beginning of the game, Maggie (his mother) buys Billy his first superpower.
Because money is tight, he doesn't have much of a choice, she's getting him X-ray vision. Before the process begin, the nurse who's gonna give him the shot has to test him to see if he's compatible.
As it turns out, he is but there's something else. Unlike most people, who can only receive a very limited number of those shots, Billy seems to have the uncanny ability to absorb an unlimited amount of them.
Thanks to this, he could become the most powerful of them all but in order to achieve this level of power, he must be careful. In a world where almost everyone can buy powers, anyone could be a potential threat.ā

Do not attempt it without the walkthrough, it is suffering.
With the walkthrough it is still far too grindy. Also too buggy. Not only are the saves impossible to import between versions, but I ran into several bugs when starting a new game from v0.44
and I cannot report them because the author requires you to be a subscriber to send them messages like bug reports.
also to prevent cheating the author disabled the built in rollback feature of renpy... the problem is that this means that when you run into an error you basically have to hope you have a recent save because you will be reloading it instead of just using the rollback like in most renpy games
Perhaps after all this time he could put in a change log.
Normally, I'd be with the anti-grind adherents. Most of the games on this site, in fact most porn games, with heavy grind are simply trying to fill out the time spent in the game. But this game has a comparably vast amount of material to go with the grind. This isn't one of those porn games where you grind for 10 hours and get all of the scenes at once, only to realize that there are only 5 - 10 scenes in the entire game. In this game the scenes flow to you as you make progress. Character limit
And it's not a pittance of materials that leave you wanting. There are dozens of scenes tucked away behind different play styles, powers, preferred characters, etc. Admittedly, at the moment at least, the material isn't evenly distributed amongst all the different characters, it's fairly focused on those characters the individuals following this game have voiced a preference for. But this is a small indie developer making a detailed 3D game with complex logic scripts that not.. character limit
only have to check their own firing conditions, but have to check themselves against other potentially firing scripts. Every stat change, every condition change(Love, Favor, Lust, Inhibition, etc), every random encounter has a script that has to be maintained through every other script added to the game every update. This isn't rocket science, no, but it's not the simplest task in the universe either.
Cut these guys some slack. It may not be finished, but it doesn't starve you for hours either
The problem is you can go through the *GRIND* [& I have] & *STILL* miss a lot of scenes, b/c they're very conditional, limited, & there's NO WAY to go back & see them. [so 100+ hours, & you're still missing out on a LOT!]
The more COMPLEX game is (like you describe) the more needs detailed help guide & WT-- IDEALLY, either a way to go back & see missed events, or, a good enough design that you'll never miss an event.

i think an accurate rating for this game is 1.5* not 3.3*, id say the 3.3* would be accurate without all the grind but with the grind its half that

I got him once in an older version (can't remember exactly how) but had to restart for this one.Even w mod (!) NCHDL is long complicated! & difficult at best! š
